The E-Notary System is a digital platform launched under the supervision of Dubai Courts to facilitate the electronic notarization of documents. The system is designed to enhance accessibility, reduce time, and improve the security of notarial services. Through this platform, users can complete attestation of power of attorneys. online without needing to visit a physical office.

How to Use the E-Notary Service in Dubai

1. Registration

  • Navigate to E-Notary Service Page from here.
  • Register on the Dubai Courts portal using your UAE Pass or digital identity.
  • Once registered, you will receive a username and password for future access.

2. Service Selection

  • Select the type of service required, such as attestation of a POA or legal acknowledgment.

3. Data Entry

  • Enter relevant details, including ID number and personal or business information.

4. Document Upload

Upload the necessary supporting documents in PDF format, ensuring compliance with the following requirements:

  • Identification Documents: Emirates ID or passport.
  • Proof of Eligibility and Capacity: Legal representatives must submit documents attested by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and translated into Arabic if issued outside the UAE.
  • Special Documents (depending on the type of POA):
    • Trade license for business-related POAs.
    • Title deed for property-related POAs.
    • Vehicle ownership certificates for vehicle-related POAs.
    • Certificates of inheritance for inheritance-related POAs.
    • Marriage contracts for marriage or divorce-related POAs.

5. Fee Payment

  • Pay applicable fees electronically. For example, attestation of POA costs AED 100 per signature.

6. Verification and Review

  • The system verifies the capacity and eligibility of the parties based on uploaded documents.
  • Legal and administrative auditing is conducted to review entries, fees, and attached documents.

7. Signature and Approval

  • Parties will electronically sign the document using an OTP (One-Time Password).
  • Based on the system’s settings, virtual or physical attendance may be required for identity verification.

8. Final Attestation

  • Upon approval, the attested document is sent to the applicant via email.
